Später fügte Trump hinzu, dass die Führung und Regierung des südafrikanischen Präsidenten Cyril Ramaphosa einige schreckliche Dinge tut, die derzeit von den USA untersucht werden. Und bis die ganze Angelegenheit geklärt ist, wurden alle zukünftigen Finanzhilfen für Südafrika auf Eis gelegt.

Musk teilte einen Beitrag auf X, in dem er behauptete, dass südafrikanische Landwirte nach der Verabschiedung des Gesetzes in ,,großer Gefahr" seien. In einem anderen Tweet sagte er, dass Südafrika sich zunehmend zu einem kommunistischen Land entwickelt. Musk hat den südafrikanischen Präsidenten Cyril Ramaphosa auch beschuldigt, ,,offen rassistische Eigentumsgesetze" umzusetzen.
