Das Reichskloster Sankt Emmeram war eine um 739 gegründete und bis zur Säkularisation 1803 bestehende Benediktinerabtei in Regensburg. Als Reichsabtei Sankt Emmeram (ab 1731 als Fürstabtei Sankt Emmeram) war sie im Bayerischen Reichskreis vertreten. Das Kloster entstand am Grab des als Märtyrer verehrten fränkischen Wanderbischofs Emmeram von Regensburg.
Das Schloss St. Emmeram, auch genannt Schloss Thurn und Taxis ist ein Schloss des Fürstenhauses Thurn und Taxis in Regensburg. Das heutige Schloss entstand durch Baumaßnahmen am Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts bei denen neben Neubauten auch Umbauten von bestehenden Gebäuden des ehemaligen Klosters St. Emmeram, das 1810 dem Fürstenhaus übereignet worden war, erfolgten. Das Schloss ist eingetragen in der Liste der Baudenkmäler in Regensburg-Zentrum und unter der Aktennummer D-3-62-000-351 als Baudenkmal verzeichnet. ,,Archäologische Befunde und Funde im Bereich der ehemaligen Benediktinerabtei St. Emmeram, heute Schloss Thurn und Taxis, vom Frühmittelalter bis in die Neuzeit" werden zudem als Bodendenkmal unter der Aktennummer D-3-6938-0820 geführt.
