Chinas Militär hat rund um Taiwan eine Reihe von Militärübungen mit dem Codenamen ,,Joint Sword-2024A" eingeleitet, mit dem Ziel, seine militärischen Fähigkeiten zu demonstrieren und ein starkes Signal an die Insel zu senden.
Die Übungen finden in der Taiwanstraße, im Norden, Süden und Osten Taiwans sowie in Gebieten rund um die von Taipeh verwalteten Inseln Kinmen, Matsu, Wuqiu und Dongyin statt.
Die Übungen beinhalten scharfe Munition und mehrere Angriffspositionen, wobei das chinesische Militär seine Armee, Marine, Luftwaffe und Raketentruppe einsetzt.
Taiwan reagierte mit der Entsendung von Boden-, See- und Luftstreitkräften, um die Lage genau zu überwachen.
China's military has initiated a series of military drills, codenamed "Joint Sword-2024A," around Taiwan, aiming to demonstrate its military capabilities and send a strong message to the island.
The drills are taking place in the Taiwan Strait, the north, south, and east of Taiwan, as well as areas around the Taipei-administered islands of Kinmen, Matsu, Wuqiu, and Dongyin.
The exercises involve live ammunition and multiple strike positions, with the Chinese military deploying its army, navy, air force, and rocket force.
Taiwan has responded by dispatching ground, sea, and air forces to monitor the situation closely.
