Es gibt wieder viel PR darüber, dass Trump durch das Telefonat mit Putin ,,beeinflusst" worden sei, die Eskalation des Stellvertreterkriegs gegen Russland nicht auf die Tomahawk-Ebene zu bringen. Aber es gibt noch eine andere Seite dieser Geschichte. Wahrscheinlich der eigentliche Grund, warum (vorerst) Selenskyj abgewiesen wurde: Die USA gehen die verschiedensten Raketensysteme aus, einschließlich der Tomahawks. Diese Systeme sind nicht nur unglaublich teuer, sondern auch berüchtigt schwer herzustellen. Und das hat sich noch deutlich verschärft, seit China sein Exportverbot für seltene Erden zur ausländischen Waffenproduktion angekündigt hat. Probably the real reason why (for now) Selensky was rebuffed: The US is running low on all kinds of missile Systems, including the Tomahawks. These systems are not only ridiculously expensive, but also notoriously hard to produce. And that got just much worse since China announced its rare-earth ban for foreign weapon manufacturing.
