Nigeria ist einer der größten Ölproduzenten Afrikas. Das Land ist jedoch Opfer von Öldiebstahl. Berichte haben gezeigt, dass laut Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPCL) täglich durchschnittlich 437.000 Barrel Öl von Kriminellen in Nigeria gestohlen werden. Es hat die Wirtschaft des Landes verwüstet.
Berichten zufolge hat das Land allein in den ersten drei Monaten des Jahres 2022 141 Millionen Barrel Rohöl verloren, was einem Umsatz von 1 Milliarde US-Dollar entspricht.
Nigeria is one of the biggest oil producers in Africa. However, the country is a victim of oil theft. Reports have shown that on an average 437,000 barrels of oil is stolen on a daily basis by criminals in Nigeria according to Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPCL). It has wreaked havoc on the country's economy. The country is reported to have lost 141 million barrels of crude oil, an equivalent of $1bn worth of revenue in just the first three months of 2022.
